Welcome all to The Hotline $ports Wire web site, based in Denver Colorado. We at the Hotline are proud to serve you and be a member
of this sites Documented Handicappers League! Those of you who have
been following us through the years know that we have been promoting documentation
for 18 years. We are pleased to be involved with a legitimate operation such as
The League of Professional Handicappers. For those of you new to Hotline: We rate our games 2 to 5 units.
2-3 units is considered a regular play ( or "average bet") exemplified by our "Games of the Week" or similar. 4 and 5 unit recommendations
are considered to be a "Top Play" for documentation purposes. A 4 unit top play is exemplified by our "Game of the Month" or equivalent and a 5 unit top play a "Game of the Year" or similar.
60-80% of our selections will be in the 2-3* range, with the rare
4 and 5 star ratings reserved for our Game of the Month, Year, and
etc. Simply put, we don't throw around Top Plays here at Hotline. Our take on the subject is that a handicapping firms selections should be mostly
"average bets" or "your usual comfortable amount" type of plays. People should never bet over their heads! When we recommend a top play, we are saying "put more on this game, up to twice as much"
and therefore, must be a relatively "rare" situation. Services that give out Top Plays every day, or on every game are fine, and that is their own business. Here at Hotline, we want you to know the SERIOUSNESS intended
when we release a Special Game of the Month, Game of the Year etc. This philosophy has netted us some of the best Top Play records in the industry, and some overall records that many would DIE to have!
We are extremely proud of our efforts and take our work seriously, as you will come to find! We do this for a LIVING and we KNOW where our bread is buttered, and it is by YOU the customer so, WELCOME and thanks for stopping by!
We monitor many "sharp" resources here at Hotline and compile them by their
performance histories. We believe that handicapping is nothing more than an accumulation of edges.
The more "edges", the higher we rate our games. It's a time consuming, but simple methodology that has netted us a rich customer base and healthy annual incomes for the 9 of us that run the show here.
